Whiz Kids' Name:  Kristin Schmit

Whiz Kid's Age:  17

Whiz Kid's Accomplishments/Awesomeness:  Kristin is a wonderful sweet girl who loves music, art and plays cello, among other instruments.  She also had her art selected for display at a museum in Baltimore.  She babysits and saves her money to help with college. My kids LOVE her—she plays with them, makes toys and fun things.  My boys are heartbroken she is going off to college in the fall. Kristin's highlights include:

• Senior at South River High School with a GPA of 3.9
• Will attend Ohio University in the fall
• Yearbook (11th and 12th grade)
• All-County Orchestra (7th through 12th)
• Londontowne Symphony Orchestra (10th through 12th)
• Morning Announcements (12th grade)
• AP Photography (12th grade)
• Photography is displayed at the U.S. Department of Education and at the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore for an Anne Arundel County student art exhibit. 
• Volunteers at "The Book Thing," an organization that provides free books to people in Baltimore City
• Guitar lessons once a week for about a year and a half
• Babysits for about six different families in her neighborhood
• In her free time she enjoys traveling and going to the city; going with friends to DC and Baltimore to shop, going to museums and taking photos
• After graduation from college, she hopes to move to Portland, Oregon - her favorite city
