VIDEO: Flooded Roads and a Sinkhole on Thursday
The overnight downpours were too much for the rain-soaked ground, causing flooding and even a sinkhole that enveloped a car in Davidsonville.
Cancellations for Thursday evening include all Anne Arundel County Recreation and Parks fields. High school turf fields, however, are open.

Does anyone know if Central Ave is open this morning or is traffic still being diverted?

I haven't checked it, but Central Ave is NOT on the list of Maryland State Road closures.

Since Rt. 4 North is closed at Waysons Corner (PG/AA County line), traffic has been diverted to Rt. 408, Rt. 258, and Rt. 2. This has created a back up on Rt. 2 and also Muddy Creek Road in the morning, as commuters seek to gain access to Rt. 214 (Central Ave) and the Beltway. Allow extra time in your commute for this traffic.
