1. UPDATE: Police Release Photos of Suspect in M&T Bank Robbery
Police released surveillance photos of the man they say robbed the M&T Bank in Edgewater around noon on Monday. Officers responded to the M&T Bank located in the 3100 block of Solomons Island Road in Edgewater at 11:58 a.m. for a reported bank robbery.
2. Dirty Paws Dog Spa Opens for Business
Furry friends in the Edgewater area now have a new place where they can be pampered—Dirty Paws Dog Spa on Mayo Road is now open for business. The new business is a full-service pet grooming saloon and owner Dale Edwards has plenty of experience in caring for pets.
3. Chapman Vac & Sew Owner Choses Edgewater for New Business
A new businesses has opened up in the Edgewater area and with it comes an experienced owner who is passionate about customer service. Chapman Vac & Sew opened last month in Edgewater at 3180 Solomons Island Rd., in the Kramer Building.
4. 3 Area Educators Named Teacher of the Year Finalists
Two of the five county educators named finalists for the 2013 Anne Arundel County Public Schools Teacher of the Year award are from the Edgewater and Davidsonville area. There is also a teacher from a local private school up for an award.
5. Sidewalk Upgrades in Galesville Set for Monday
On Monday, the Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) will upgrade the sidewalks along MD 225 also known as Galesville Road. The work will take place between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and may limit road access.
