1. Police: Suspicious Incident Not an Attempted Abduction
Police located a child safe and unharmed Wednesday after a reported possible abduction attempt in Selby-on-the-Bay. After an investigation, they determined there was not any intent to commit abduction or assault the victim.
2. Muddy Creek Road Update: Paving Delayed to Spring
The line painting and paving at the Muddy Creek Road intersection has all been delayed until spring when crews can work at non-peak travel hours and in better weather.
3. Three Teens Charged with Arson in SUV Fire
Anne Arundel County fire investigators have charged three teens with arson in a Jan. 21 vehicle fire in Davidsonville. According to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department, two 16-year-old males and one 17-year-old-male were arrested on juvenile citations.
4. Art Show Honors Former Summit School Student’s Memory
When Hannah Carr was just 11 years old, she lost her sister, Elizabeth, to a brain tumor. Ten years later, 21-year-old Carr and the Elizabeth Carr Memorial Fund (ECMF) have organized Art from the Heart, a silent art auction to honor her Elizabeth’s memory.
5. Leopold Resigns as County Executive
John Leopold resigned as Anne Arundel County Executive on Friday, after a judge found him guilty earlier this week on two counts of misconduct.

Pathetic end to such a promising political career. Leopold spent years in government always spouting good government and I really believed that someone who wanted it as bad as he did, would do a good job for the people. He failed himself and he betrayed his oath of office. He abused the people's power and demeaned government employees. It is right that he resign. Lets hope the county council does at least a decent job of appointing his successor.
