Police Want Public's Help in Identity Theft Scheme

Two wire transfers were fraudulently made in November at SunTrust Bank in Edgewater.

 

Anne Arundel County police are asking for the public's help in identifying a man who made two separate wire transfers at SunTrust Bank in Edgewater.

The man presented a Maryland driver's license with the SunTrust account holder's personal information to transfer the money, according to a bulletin issued by police spokesman Justin Mulcahy. The transfers were made on Nov. 23 and 28 at the SunTrust Bank on Central Avenue.

Anyone with information, or who recognizes the suspect from the photographs, can contact Detective Damion Dzambo of the Anne Arundel County Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division Financial Crimes Unit at 410-222-3433 or contact Metro Crime Stoppers.
