Two people were seriously injured in a car accident involving one vehicle Friday night, according to a spokesman from the Anne Arundel County Fire Department. 

Lt. Cliff Kooser said the crash occured at 10:05 p.m. Friday night on Patuxent River Road just south of Route 214, which is near Davidsonville.

A male in his 20s was taken to Shock Trauma in Baltimore, and a female, also in her 20s, was taken to Prince George's Trauma Center, according to Kooser. Both face serious and life-threatening injuries.
