Framing Shop Hosts Meet-and-Greet with Local Artists
Wimsey Cove Framing and Art invites the public to attend a special event on Saturday to meet artists from the Shiles Studio.
Wimsey Cove Framing and Art is hosting a meet-and-greet event on Saturday where residents can stop in and personally meet the artists at the Shiles Studio.
The Shiles Studio teaches art to people from ages 6 to 60 throughout the Baltimore and Annapolis region. It is operated by husband and wife duo Don and Gay Shiles, according to their website.
The special Wimsey Cove Framing and Art meet-the-artists event takes place Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. at their Edgewater location on Solomons Island Road. The event will showcase the men and women behind a collection of paintings featured at Shiles Studio from June 5 to July 28, according to an event flyer.
When it’s not hosting special events, the local framing shop offers customized care for paintings. The shop also specializes in historical maps and other “map-inspired” gifts of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County, according to its Patch listing.
