UPDATE: 6 Hospitalized After Accident on Route 50 Near Davidsonville Road
A single-vehicle crash Sunday resulted in six victims being hospitalized, according to Maryland State Police.
UPDATE (12:23 p.m.)—Maryland State Police Cpl. Kevin Dukes said a driver of a vehicle on U.S. Route 50 lost control and struck a guardrail.
Six people were hospitalized early Sunday morning after a single-vehicle accident on Route 50 near Davidsonville Road.
The accident occurred at about 3:40 a.m. on U.S. Route 50, according to Anne Arundel County Fire Department spokesman Lt. Keith Hamilton.
A 21-year-old woman and 23-year-old man were transported to Maryland Shock Trauma in Baltimore with serious, life-threatening injuries, Hamilton said. A 19-year-old male was also transported to Prince George’s County Hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.
Three other patients, ages not provided, were taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis with injuries that were not life-threatening, Hamilton said.

There was also an accident on Route 50 at Bestgate Road about 2 a.m. Sunday in Annapolis. Two victims were hospitalized in that two-vehicle crash.
