Fisher's Famous Opens at 11 a.m. Saturday
Brian Fisher left a world of advertising in New York City to start a hot dog stand in Edgewater. It opens Friday.
The owner of Fisher's Famous hot dog cart told Patch he plans to open his business Saturday at 11 a.m.
Located at 77 West Central Ave. in Edgewater, the stand is set to open with nothing more than a red and yellow food cart pulled by a blue Honda Element, said Brian Fisher, owner of Fisher's Famous.
Patch highlighted Fisher earlier this month and his journey of finally seeing his dream of owning a hot dog stand become a reality.
"Hot dogs are my passion and when done right, they’re perfect," Fisher told Patch in mid May. "Three things make a great hot dog—great bread, great dog and great toppings. The perfect ratio of all three makes the perfect hot dog."
Fisher said he plans to offer a variety of hot dogs, ranging from traditional frankfurters to the locally named "Edgewiener" and "Davidsondog."
Editor's Note: This article has been corrected to show Fisher's Famous opens Saturday June 2, not Friday June 1.

Good luck Brian. I hope this venture will prove to be a new adventure for you. As a former ad guy I know a new turn in the road is a good thing.

I gotta tell you, Mr. Fisher, you're getting famous in my family for not showing up. I've tried on 3 non-consecutive occasions to stop in and get a hot dog -- during stated business hours -- and the lot was empty. I'm afraid you've lost my patronage before you ever had it.

I like the fact that you are open whenever! That way when I want a dog I don't get one and avoid the extra fat. But when you are there it is great. You make a superior dog that never fails to please. Maybe you will be back soon now that the weather is breaking for the good. Cheers.
