Firefighters Respond to Boat Fire in Mayo

The boat caught fire in a backyard on Tuesday, according to a fire department spokesman.

 

Anne Arundel County firefighters responded Tuesday to a boat fire in the backyard of a home at 1037 Old Turkey Point Rd. in Mayo.

According to Lt. Jack Beall, they got a call at 5:42 p.m. Tuesday and responded to find a 30-foot boat on a trailer fully engulfed.

It took 29 firefighters to put out the blaze, and it was reportedly under control shortly before 6:30 p.m.

How can a boat in winter storage on a trailer behind a house catch fire ? Sounds a bit fishy and a great way to collect a pre-recession replacement value in this down boating market .

NO Justin your wrong because it was my girlfriend who was 1 of the ones who set it on fire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! her and her friends set it on fire
