VIDEO: Fire Destroys House in Shady Side

A video has been released of a vacant house in Shady Side engulfed in flames around 3 a.m. Friday morning.

No one was injured in the blaze, according to Anne Arundel County fire officials. The fire began at approximately 3:17 a.m. near the 1200 block of Holly Avenue and took 25 firefighters about 30 minutes to control the fire, according to fire officials.

The video of the fire that was posted on YouTube shows flames arching out of windows, including fire on the top floor hitting a nearby power line and causing a shower of sparks.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
