'Dig In' to Archaeology at Edgewater Library

A presentation from Archaeology in the Community will be held at the library on Tuesday.

Kids can get a hands-on lesson in archaeology at the Edgewater Library on Tuesday thanks to a presentation from Archaeology in the Community.

The DC based group will be at the library on Tuesday to talk to kids about the archaeological experiences they can encounter in their own communities. This is the second time the group has been in Edgewater.

"The emphasis is in the community, and they are going to talk about how you look at the area where you live and the changes you see," said librarian April Tull.

There will be hands-on demonstrations and interactive activities for kids who attend the event, Tull said. They will also have large areas available inside for digging.

"They will show what archaeologists do and give a demonstration with a live show," Tull said.

The presentation will begin at 4 p.m. on Tuesday at the Edgewater Library. For more information call the library at 410-222-1538 or visit them online.
