Saturday, January 19 has been declared a National Day of Service by President Obama.  

The South County Democratic Club is organizing a food drive on behalf of the South County Assistance Network (SCAN) which is housed at St. James Parish, 5757
Solomons Island Road, Lothian.

Their needs are immense, providing supplemental food to 200 South County families every month. They find
themselves without peanut butter, jelly, or muffin mixes amd are very low on canned pork and beans and pasta. 

Normally each month every family gets a jar of peanut butter, jar of jelly, and a muffin mix.  So, we have our work cut out for us. Please let us know if need to have your contribution picked up.

We will be at St.James Parish on January 19 from 1:00 pm until 2:30 pm to accept contributions. For more information email ahwolfe@pkwy.com.
